Energy update- a time to restructure the root chakra and set up new foundations
In these strange times we are experiencing on planet earth a huge dichotomy has arisen as the collective unconscious is being revealed and brought into the light.
So… what is this doing to our energy?
In the last few months of this year we have experienced globalized panic, loss, death, grief…only to have the rug pulled off of our eyes to reveal the very real pain we are still experiencing from the tragic effects we still experience from rascism… To read my thoughts on the Geroge Floyd murder read here.
How is affecting the overall health of our chakras and emotional body…that by which we govern and choose how navigate our lives?
And the effect is largely in the root chakra also known as the base chakra (or Muladhara in sanskrit).
The root chakra. This is the one…this is the key…the end of the loop of the dark night and the place to begin again when a shift needs to be made or a course needs to be corrected. Within the root chakra dwells the core beliefs we have been programmed with since childhood. It holds all of the trauma and generational programing that has led your ancestral genealogy for centuries. It is that place from which we internally find our sense of safety and security. Our structure and cultural beliefs and expectations. It tells us how to live, eat, and move, and provide sustenance. And the key to any successful and long lasting shift resides here and in healing this chakra.
A blocked root chakra calls into question all we believe…or thought we believe or were taught to believe since the beginning of this mortal life in accordance to your family environment.
It is from this place that the ego is developed as a protective mechanism to hide and block anything within the soul that is seen as unacceptable to the environment at large as if to cast a shroud as a safety net. While this ego manifestation is a key component to our survival in any situation…as we grow through the shifts and changes that life brings to reveal the souls deeper yearnings…the ego no longer knows how to react as it is only programmed with the beliefs of past experiences. And this process of clearing and unblocking can often cause pain and deep confusion and does so in proportion to the duality of what the ego is trying to protect versus what the soul and higher consciousness is trying to out and reveal itself.
And it doesn’t have to be painful or hard…but it becomes so when we can’t or wont shift our beliefs and mindsets. It becomes hard when we can’t let go of the past or toxic relationships.
It keeps us in a survival state….
And it brings us a choice….
Do we let go and allow our lives to shift into the new and the unknown…as scary as that may seem to appear? Or do we hold on…. trying to make the old ways work in a new world and a new energy…..and becoming more and more desperate internally due to the internal misalignment and the pain that it brings?
Now when I say misalignment you have to stay outside of any kind of a religious mindset….misalignment isn’t you falling out of line with rules and regulations set up by man or institution….
True energetic misalignment is being untrue to the self. It is being in denial of ones true feelings and beliefs, thoughts and desires….see how this all ties together?
So in this crazy time of disease and panic, economic crisis and social unrest…its truly as if the entire root structure of the world, individual nations, communities, families…and down to the individual…is facing the needs of healing this chakra.
So what are some simple ways that we can begin to find that place of internal safety and peace and clear the old out of the roots so we can rebuild something better and more beautiful?
Go for a walk. Barefoot if you can. Known as earthing, walking barefoot and connecting to the electrical energy of the earth is a beautiful and relaxing way to ground our energy. As electrical beings we need this connection to the mother in order to feel safe and grounded.
Eat some grounding foots. Nuts. Root vegetables. Mushrooms. Beets. Unprocessed grains. Take care of your physical health. This is key….
Clean and declutter and organize your space. Seriously. Energy doesn’t flow when the space is a mess. Get rid of stuff you don’t need. Adjust the furniture and brighten it up a bit.
Wrap up in a cozy blanket and just soak in the comfort and safety of just being. Feel safe in your existence.
And…work through your beliefs. If something makes you feel unsafe on the inside…whether a situation or a thought…question it. Allow yourself to see a different perspective and align with your own beliefs rather than simply submitting to what your conditioning has trained you to believe or how its always been.
Allow yourself to think outside of the box. And just be.
Feel you have a right to not just exisit, but to truly thrive and succeed and enjoy your life! And to do so as the full expression of who you are. And you deserve to be supported in that too.
